Randy Fungula will make his professional debut at AFN 11 in Stockholm on 27 September. The Pancrase Gym fighter steps into the pro ranks in his hometown, bringing with him an A-class amateur record of 8–4 with even more B-class bouts under his belt.
Earlier this year, Fungula won the Superior Academy lightweight title at Superior Academy 3 with a clear unanimous decision over Anton Ringvall. He set the pace early with jabs to the body, handled several submission threats, and imposed himself with takedowns and control to secure the win. His amateur résumé also includes a first-round rear-naked choke of Osman Vacoev at Superior Academy 2 and two wins over Alexander Lööf, now a successful professional in Cage Warriors. These results highlight the depth of experience he carries into his pro debut.
While he is well known for his grappling, with appearances in AFN Kumite and regular Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu competition around Sweden, Fungula has also invested in his striking. He has been training and competing in amateur boxing, sharpening his stand-up at Djurgårdens IF Boxning to complement his ground game.
Fungula will now make his first professional walk to the cage in front of a home crowd in Stockholm City that has followed his journey from the start.
